I hired Show Plumbing, LLC to clear a clog in my main AC condensate drain line. Unfortunately, the service was poorly diagnosed and improperly performed, nearly causing significant water damage inside my HVAC unit. The technician only cleared the drain at the entry point near the sink trap but never verified that the line was fully clear. A blockage remained about one foot further down the line. He then installed a 90-degree elbow on the secondary (overflow) drain line, pointed upward, claiming it was to test drainage. This modification actually restricted the overflow path and caused condensate to back up inside the air handler. As a result, water pooled inside the unit and leaked through the seams of the drain pan — something that should never happen with a properly functioning primary and secondary drain system. Within an hour of the technician leaving, I cleared the remaining blockage myself and corrected the overflow elbow orientation. The problem resolved immediately. When I contacted Show Plumbing requesting a partial refund, they sent a supervisor (Jason). Instead of acknowledging the incomplete work and the issues created, he defended the original service. He did not address that: - The primary clog was never fully cleared - The modification to the overflow drain contributed to the backup - I had to fix the problems myself I declined any further work due to concerns about additional unnecessary modifications. Despite the clear errors in diagnosis and execution, there was no accountability or offer of compensation. HVAC condensate drainage is a straightforward gravity system. A professional plumber should fully verify the line is clear end-to-end before making any changes, especially ones that can disable safety features like the overflow drain. Because none of these basic standards were met, I cannot recommend Show Plumbing LLC.

From speaking on the initial call with Janice all the way through the service call completion with Jeremy, the service was professional and top notch. The bio before the tech arrived was a nice touch. It made the appointment seem more personable and I felt like a valued customer, which makes a difference when there are so many providers to choose from, and you have no clue who is showing up to your home. I would surely recommend them and use them again. They were able to get me on the schedule at the last minute and resolve an issue I’d been dealing with for a few weeks. Pricing was fair, which was a pleasant surprise because that part always causes me anxiety when I never know what someone will quote me. I appreciate the service. Continue to be great!
